Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data CitePlan collects when you use citeplan.co, why we collect it, and how we handle it. Questions? Email david@citeplan.co.

What we collect

• Your email address, collected at checkout or login.
• The URL you submit for analysis.
• Payment metadata from Stripe (never card numbers - those go to Stripe directly).
• Report data we generate about your site: scraped text, AI-assistant responses to public prompts, cited sources, and action cards.
• Standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) for a short retention window.

How we use it

• To produce and deliver your CitePlan report.
• To email you about your order and report status.
• To improve the product in aggregate, non-identifying ways.

Third parties

We share data only with the infrastructure required to deliver the product: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database + auth), Resend (email), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Perplexity) which see the public search prompts we generate about your product. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Retention

Your report and associated data remain in your account until you request deletion. Email us and we will remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing david@citeplan.co.
